Ofsted aims to improve lives by raising standards in education and children’s social care. They inspect and regulate thousands of organisations and individuals providing education, training and care and share what they find in reports.

Starting in November 2025, Ofsted has begun to use a new and improved framework for inspections. The previous one-word judgements have now been replaced by a report card which grades 7 areas across the school and states whether safeguarding standards are met.
