Please be patient, this page is under construction.

Mrs Secker - Teaching Assistant

  • Blue Class Teaching Assistant
  • Paediatric First-Aider
  • HLTA

Mrs Secker joined Beaupré Community Primary School in 2016 while completing her Teaching Assistant qualification. Starting as a teaching assistant in Year 6, Mrs Secker has worked with all year groups within the school and undertaken roles such as Pupil Premium Practitioner and Intervention Catch-Up Practitioner during Covid, where she enjoyed the challenge of leading online interventions for groups of children across Key Stage 2.

In the course of her time at Beaupré, Mrs Secker qualified as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and enjoys regularly taking the class, especially on PE days. Always keen to keep her knowledge up-to-date, Mrs Secker is enjoying putting the new Little Wandle phonics scheme into practice.

Before working in education, Mrs Secker worked as a one-to-one facilitator for young adults with Cerebral Palsy – which she found to be an extremely challenging, yet rewarding, job. It gave her the opportunity to travel, work with various other professionals and attend many conferences related to Alternative Augmentative Communication. This job gave her many experiences which she holds close to her heart.

Mrs Secker’s favourite subject is Maths. She worked in a local building society for a number of years where she was able to work in a customer-facing environment, often putting her maths and investigation skills to good use.

In her own time, Mrs Secker loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Mrs Shinn - Teaching Assistant

  • Red Class Teaching Assistant
  • Paediatric First-Aider
  • HLTA

Mrs Shinn joined the Beaupre School team seven years ago and currently works in Year 1. She started to volunteer as a parent reader many years ago, listening to children of all ages to give extra support where needed. She went on to secure a lunchtime supervisor job which then enabled her to complete her level 2 TA qualification. She later went on to complete her HLTA qualification and is currently a paediatric first-aider.

Three generations of Mrs Shinn's family have attended Beaupre School and her two grown up children, now work full time, one in a management role and the other in the construction industry.

In her spare time, Mrs Shinn enjoys baking, sewing, reading, eating out and family walks with her dog.

Mrs Maryon - Teaching Assistant

  • Purple Class Teaching Assistant
  • Paediatric First-Aider
  • HLTA

Mrs Maryon was born and raised in a small town in Essex, about 10 miles from Stansted.  She has three siblings, one of which is her twin.  Mrs Maryon left school in 1986 and started a fabulous career working for the National Blood Service.  She was a member of the recruitment team and travelled throughout Essex and the City of London recruiting blood donors and remained in this post until 1999, when she had her children.

In 1996, she met and married her husband; they moved to a local Norfolk village in 2002 with their five children.  In 2006, when their twins, who are the youngest, started school, she actively started looking to return to work.

In November 2006, Mrs Maryon started working at Beaupre as the Midday Co-ordinator.  In 2007, she began her career as a TA, working 1 to 1 with a child.  Then she moved into a class-based role working with Year 5, then year 6.  In 2011, she became a TA in our Reception Class, which is when she trained as an HLTA.  In 2022, we challenged her with a move into Year 3 and this is where you will currently find her.

When she is not in school, she enjoys spending time with her family.
